First agricultural application for Walleye Imaging System

Somerville, MA — February 8, 2012 — Walleye Technologies, Inc., the leading developer of hand-held microwave imaging systems, announced today that it is collaborating with a Purdue University research team that has been awarded a grant from the Indiana State Department of Agriculture to study the use of microwave technology for fruit inspection. A primary goal of this project is to develop and validate a rapid and nondestructive sensing system for detection of hollow heart, an internal deformity, in watermelon. Walleye Technologies will further develop its patented microwave imaging system for this application
